We stayed here at the beginning of August and it felt like we were staying with laid back, welcoming friends rather than an impersonal resort. There is EVERYTHING a young child could want here.

Our 2.5 year old was happy with the train set, the toys, the tractors, the playground etc, and of course the other kids.

As for us, we had a ball. Our room was the new family room so we were sharing with our son, but his cot was in a curtained nook so he never woke up at the crack of dawn and demanded we play and we had some privacy too. The room, though smaller than the others was really nicely decorated and suited us perfectly. Theres also loads of added extras that you can use, bath toys, dressing up clothes, selection of books, and that was just in the bedroom. The whole gorgeous place is set up with the kids in mind which means the adults are happy and relaxed cos they are. But there's also stuff for adults too, yoga, the lovely pool, spa treatments etc. The location and scenery is just stunning.

As for Abbi and Danny, they were lovely and so friendly (and really helpful, providing us with clothes and toiletries when our luggage failed to arrive), and Abbi is an OUTSTANDING cook. Seriously seriously good, and we ate better there than the restaurant food we had while we were there. Our son happily ate his dinner with the other kids, love that concept.

While holidaying with your family is all well and good, you do yearn for a bit of other adult company, and the way that Mas De Jouas throws you all together is brilliant, a couple of the other families were repeat customers, and we all got on so well, it was honestly like holidaying with friends. We were so tempted to stay another week. It was great.

There seemed to be lots of things to visit in the local area but we just enjoyed spending time at the house with the others.  I never thought I would feel relaxed when holidaying with a toddler but I came back feeling so refreshed, we had a lovely time. For anyone with young families who like to hang out with other people I highly recommend this place!

Perfect Family Holiday!

We have just floated home after a blissful week at Mas de Jouas which is no easy feat bearing in mind we have 2 toddlers! This felt like how holidays used to be pre kids.

Since having our boys (3 and 21 months) we dreaded the thought of family holidays where either the kids were catered for and we hated it or we were catered for and the kids were bored. Mas de Jouas has the winning formula.

We felt pampered with the excellent gourmet food - Abbi is proper master chef standard- and wine often paired with the meal, grown up conversation (well sometimes ;-) beautiful rooms, luxury sun-beds and heated pool, babysitting etc. The kids had their own teatime, playground, pool toys, large grounds to run around, lots of outdoor toys and indoor toys plus cbeebies for when it all got too much!

We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves and due to the nature of Abbi and Danny we soon felt like we were holidaying with old friends. We had such a laugh and they really couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great time. Abbi booked restaurants for us, went to the pharmacy and lovely Danny even drove us to the restaurants despite the fact he was lame from a torn achilles heel.

We were thoroughly spoilt and cannot wait to go back, thanks guys xxx
